Yule Log PS1 (cozy campfire)
A downloadable game
Yule Log
For your holiday enjoyment I have made a Yule Log for Playstation 1 - and it runs on actual hardware as well as in Emulator.
What better way to enjoy the 30th anniversary of my favourite console ever!?
Why?
It's meant as a cozy background program you can enjoy as a "screensaver". I wanted to make this after seeing people do something similar on other consoles like the C64 and the MegaDrive/Genesis, and thought it was a great way to celebrate the holidays along with showing off your favourite console to friends/family ;)
Install?
Simply choose the right region for your console, and either run it from an xStation, or burn it to CD and use a modchip or swap-trick (comes as .cue/.iso file in the zip).
If you don't have either of these, you can use any PS1 Emulator to run the game from too (YMMV, haven't tested them all, main focus was real hardware).
Known problems
When you boot the game from disc, as assets are loaded, the playstation logo will appear quite massive on the screen (well, partially atleast). This is my first foray into PS1 programming, so admittingly haven't worked out all the details, and minor things like this may occur.

@Pikuma.com for the amazing course he released teaching me how to do all this.
@kenney for the particle sprites used to create the fire.
